Big kudos to ledjfab and BlizzardOfTheCoast for the concept of this video. PLEASE check out their video series: 'The Art of Sampling' and 'Deconstructing...' respectively, they are AWESOME! Here we examine the classic disco track, "Relight My Fire" by Dan Hartman. It's a track made of pure awesome and these house artists weren't shy in using it. Our menu for today: Take That does a simple soundalike cover with their "Relight My Fire". Technically not a sample, but it's of worthy mention. Souvlaki fires up a dancefloor mashup of Relight My Fire and another classic, this time of the hard house/breaks genre, "Kick Your Legs In The Air" by Poor Pocket Productions Featuring Adam Ice, in their quite epic track "Inferno". Makes me hungry for Greek food Blackout keeps the hope alive with their simple vocal rework in "Gotta Have Hope". and finally, Louis La Roche is the most recent resurrectant of this song, cutting and chopping some of the lyrics into his neo-French house floorfiller "Do You Remember?"
