Making serious progress on the learning curve of wheelchair life, Gabe now understands the true beauty of the rigid wheelchair for fairly straightforward, independent car transfers. Jason, who heads up the Santa Rosa Blazers, a wheelchair basketball team here in Northen California, kindly demonstrates how quick-release tires pop off, and a lightweight frame with fold-down seat make it easy to load the wheelchair into the car without assistance. Thank goodness for the "crip community," who share their knowledge freely!
